Plastic Soup Surfer

Merijn Tinga recently rode a foil board made out of plastic bottles he’d collected across the North Sea from Holland to England. The journey took him nine hours and he did it to highlight a petition he’s presenting to the Dutch Government which calls for a 40% deposit fee on plastic bottles to reduce waste and marine litter!

Inspiring mission – change the fate of plastic litter from merijn on Vimeo.

You can find out more about Merijn, his epic adventure and what inspired him and you can also sign the petition via his website www.plasticsoupsurfer.org
