New North American Representation for Mystic

IMG_1430Mystic is proud to announce Matt Aiken as their new representative for North America. Mystic had been working with a distributor but has now changed this into a direct model and will operate as an American-based company. Matt Aiken will take the role of General Manager for Mystic in NA.

Matt Aiken grew up in Canada and started in the windsurf industry early 1990s working at Canadas oldest windsurfing store. He has been a past competitive windsurfer and took up kiteboaring in the very early days of the sport. Matt is also an avid stand-up paddler and wakeboarder.

When asked about his new partnership, Mattexclaimed,Im so excited to work with Mystic and to be able to be part of such an innovative global brand. Coming from my background I really connect with their rider-first mentality and have always been impressed with their marketing, design, and of course their product. Im really looking forward to working closely with the Mystic shops and partners to grow our business together and being able to do that across sports that have been such a big part of my life couldnt be any better.

On a professional level Matt worked as Advertising Sales Director for SBC Wakeboard, SBC Surf, SBC Kiteboard and Windsport Magazines. He is long-serving board member and now president of the AWSI (Association on wind and watersports Industries) the official trade association of the windsurf and kiteboard industry in North America. Matt is Co-founder and president of the OntarioKiteboarding Association and the founder of WMFG kiteboard and SUP pumps and deck-pads.
