San Francisco, East Bay Kiters
iwindsurf/ikitesurf says they have the resources to put up a toll plaza sensor, just need at least 10 requests. So send them requests fellow kooksurfers!

Often being stuck in traffic just around that spot I have been wondering why no one is kiting there. I simply thought we weren't allowed to kite there but glad to hear it is ok (or so I assume). Any info regarding that spot one should know before venturing out for the very first time?

Hi Gang,

OK, while the interest in the Toll Plaza sensor has not been overwhelming there has been enough mail to progress to the next of many steps.

We need someone to check out the buildings near the towers and identify the owners from any signs etc.

Also send close up photos of the buildings especially any poles or sturdy attachment places on or near the buildings or towers.

Send info. to mike@iwindsurf.com

For a low priority site like this one we need electrical power and telephone lines since the solar and radio powered sensors are very expensive.

Thanks,

Mike Godsey

Mike,

There are large electrical towers located at the north east end of the launch at Toll Plaza. Perhaps they could facilitate your equipment. The location would be preferable to the buildings in the area.

Cheers.
